LARGE with LIFE ♥

Thats right I'm large with life and nearly 36 weeks pregnant and NO I don't have a set of twins in there THANK GOODNESS. Mama just carries ALL belly and well a little bit in other places too! LOL I'm feeling pretty darn good considering I've already managed to pack on a nice 40 lbs! Hmmm hope I don't regret that during labour but ce la vie... a tad late to think of that now....Anyhow ya just the typical aches and pains but nothing I should even bother writing home about. I've really been feeling good and thankfully I went from 12 hour shifts to 4 hour shifts a couple of days ago and only have one shift left. The 12 hour night shifts were starting to really to take a toll on me. Recouperation period was getting to be a two day ordeal and when Jason is suddenly getting busy with the season coming on fast I don't need to be doing that anymore. So now I'm getting out and prepping the yard for a summer of kidlets and gardening. I'm guessing I'll be staying pretty close to home so decided to make my outdoor yard my little sanctuary. My bday was back in March and Mom's giving me hanging baskets, George bought me some dirt and planters for my little patio, and Jason got me a skookum garden hose. Love it! Anyhow as for the sex of the baby we have no idea. Jason didn't want to know so I was good with that. As for an incling...NO IDEA. BUT I do have a feeling this kids staying in there right to the end or the 10 days past. I'm due May 15th... So basically I figure sometime in May he/she will come along. Another question is..."have you got the nursery ready?" Ahhhh NO! LOL But my garden is! LOL You know its just not my thing. I'd rather get a new door then spend money on a nursery the kidlet is really going to care less about but hey thats me! Well I must go eat as I'm starving.... I know I don't look like it but I need some breaky as its 1030 and I haven't eatten a thing! K Cheerio Peps ~ Julie

These legs are made for walking!

Yeppers thats right! Alistair is actually putting one foot in front of the other. It started about three weeks ago and now on a good day I can get him to walk with me in this manner for about 25 feet! But generally its about 10 feet. I'm just so proud of him. We are really making a big effort to have him sitting or standing for a significant part of the day rather than being flat on his back and I think its starting to pay off. Today I actually had him sit on my knee while I bounced him a long and he seemed to enjoy it. This is huge as it takes a lot of strength for him to be able to accomplish that. Thats the wonderful thing about all this increasing core strength is he is able to get more out of life. If he could get to the point of understand and utilizing a walker that would just be dreamy. I'm not sure if thats a reality or not but we just keep pushing our little man and waiting to see what he surprises us with. The one thing I'm becoming more and more aware of as the prego weeks click on by is that I'm really going to need to get back in shape and work on strength exercises once this bambino comes along. This is not for me but for the reality that I need to get stronger in order to work and handle Alistair as he's suddenly not our little baby any longer. I know he's 33 months now. However, he's only 22 lbs and his development has been slow so we still hold and care for him alot like an infant would be until lately. Its been obvious to us in the last few months that he has had a significant growth spurts and an increase in strength so we'll just need to step it up a notch.
